What I have learned about geography so far:

September 22, 2006

I have learned that geography is not only about the landscapes. It has physical and human geography. Physical geography is the study of Earth’s environment and the atmosphere. Human geography is the study of human and what they do for example, population, religion, culture, etc. There was an interesting fact about geography that the first ones who studied geography was the Greeks.

What is the issue?

North Korea plans to test nuclear weapons while senior US diplomat warns it will be dangerous.

Who is involved?

North Korea, Nuclear negotiator Christopher Hill, President of South Korea Roh Moo-Hyun, and President of United States George Bush are involved.

Who is affected and how?

North Korea: They are testing nuclear weapons that could harm the world.

Christopher Hill: Cannot agree North Korea in testing the nuclear weapons.

President of South Korea, Roh Mee-Hyun: Disagrees with North Korea. Afraid of nuclear weapons hitting the country (North Korea).

President Bush: Also disagrees with North Korea because on July 5th, North Korea tested long-range missles that was able to hit the US.

What would you so if you were directly involved?

I will stop North Korea from testing the nuclear weapons because it could killl people and I think that they could also test it other time.

On my summer holiday, I went to Japan with my mom, and my sister for almost two months. I stayed at my grandmother’s house in Nagoya.I played with my cousin and also went to meet my dad in Tokyo. I bought too many things that my grandmother had to send some of my clothes to Malaysia because it wouldn’t fit in my suit case. It was a great summer holiday.

This is the flag of Japan

Homework for Block H (Tuesday 29 August)

This is assignment 1.

This is my URL to the article:

This is the link to my homework

1. What is the issue?

The children in the Middle East are being hurt because of the cluster bombs that are still left from fighting. Cluster bombs release lots of small bombs when it explodes which makes hard to be found so the children will pick it up without knowing what it is.

2. How are they connected?

These 2 articles connect because they are both about the Middle East although it is not about breaking cease-fire. They also connect at the part where people get injured.

3. What did I find interesting about this topic?

What really made me think this article was interesting the part they said children were getting injured by cluster bomb. The children didn’t do anything wrong but they are getting injured because of the people in the Middle East.

4. What did I like about the initial blog posting?

I liked where it was linked some difficult words to dictionary.com which made it easy to understand. It was also spaced out and was easy to understand.
